Natural enemies of the skin. How to deal with them?

Sun, beach, relaxation, summer breeze. This is how we spend our summer afternoons and holidays. We relax, enjoy the moment and spend wonderful moments with our loved ones and friends. But do we ever wonder how these circumstances affect our skin? Do they have a real impact on its condition?

Skin care dedicated to its needs is extremely important in maintaining proper condition, beauty and health. Unfortunately, in everyday life we encounter natural enemies of our skin that interfere with the results achieved by proper care and attention to our skin.

Learn a few ways to protect your skin from these factors.

Sun

The negative effects of sunlight on the skin are immediately visible. Wrinkles, discoloration, irritation, decreased firmness and elasticity of the skin. These are just a few of the consequences of excessive tanning and UV exposure.

Proper protection against UVA and UVB rays is very important. Use sunscreen every day, regardless of the season. Remember that the sun's rays reach our skin all year round. Apply sunscreen as the last step of your skincare routine and repeat this step several times a day. x

Free radicals

Free radicals are caused by many factors, including long-term stress, poor diet, smoking, overexposure to UV radiation and breathing polluted air.

Remember to use antioxidants, that prevent the formation of free radicals and remove them from our body. This is important because it protects our skin from premature aging. Skin can become dry and irritated as its hydrolipid mantle weakens. Skin colour becomes dull.

Use antioxidants both in skin care preparations, i.e. serum cream with vitamin C, E, coenzyme Q10 and in oral supplementation. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables rich in antioxidants, i.e. currants, strawberries, apples, vegetable oils and drink green tea.

Dryness

High temperatures and dry air are the main factors that can cause your skin to dry out in summer. It can manifest as excessive itching, irritation and a grey colour.

To prevent this, try to provide water and hydration both from the inside of the body and through the skin. Remember to drink min. 2 l of water a day. Use skin moisturizing lotions. Moisturizing treatments in a beauty parlour may be necessary. The better you protect your skin against water loss, the more beautiful and healthy it will be.
