It has soothing and moisturizing properties; stimulates cells regeneration facilitating the restoration of damaged epidermis; softens and smoothes the skin.

It ensures intensive moisturizing and prevents excessive water loss. Allantoin accelerates the processes of epidermis regeneration and alleviates irritations. It also smoothes and softens the epidermis eliminating skin irritation caused by surfacants.

Allantoin can be found in cosmetics:

  • for children and babies - it strengthens the thin hydro-lipid skin layer,
  • it is a non-comedogenous substance, i.e. it does not clog pores. It may be an ingredient of creams for mixed and oily skin types,
  • before and after sunbathing,
  • for allergy sufferers since it does not evoke allergic reactions,
  • that alleviate itching and skin burning, i.e. anti-irritation creams.

Allantoin is a humectant, i.e. a substance which can not only attract water particles, but also store them - hence it has moisturizing properties as well. The substance enhances exfoliation of the horny skin layer because it dissolves intercellular cement that binds the cells, making the skin become smoother.

ADAPTOGEN - i.e. the way how we can help our organism to fight stress.

The term adaptogen was first used in 1947 by the Russian researcher, Nikolai Lazarev, who tested and described the properties of natural raw materials that influence organism resistance to harmful conditions of the external world. It is said that adaptogenic plants normalize the functioning of a human organism, do not cause overstimulation and do not inhibit its regular functions. They act more like a „tonicum”, or „panacea”.

It is common knowledge that adaptogenic plants have anti-oxidant properties that stimulate the immune system and memory processes, enhance concentration, mood and self-being.

Adaptogens include:

  • schisandra chinensis,
  • ginseng,
  • rhodiola rosea.

D-panthenol, i.e. provitamin of B5

It is a natural ingredient found in skin and hair, necessary for their proper formation. Deficiencies of provitamin B5 result in skin roughness and peeling, whereas hair goes grey faster, becomes porous and dull.

Panthenol is the ingredient of products which:

  • have healing, irritation-alleviating and moisturizing properties. It is the basic ingredient of after-sun cosmetics as well as cosmetics reducing redness, itching and skin irritation;
  • it decreases water loss through the epidermis and efficiently moisturizes the skin making it soft and smooth;
  • it stimulates cell divisions that brings healing and regenerating effects; it is helpful in healing of wounds, small skin injuries and scars.

The hydrating properties of panthenol are connected with the hygroscopicity of the compound, i.e. the process of „attracting” water cells. Therefore, panthenol is recommended not only in skin diseases but also in treatments with retinoids or acids which require increased demand for hydration.

It is a very well-tolerated ingredient, basically there are no incidencts of irritation or allergy to panthenol.

Amino acid - an organic chemical compound produced naturally by a number of species of bacteria. Ectoine is produced by microorganisms living in extremely unfavorable conditions, such as geysers or salt lakes. Considering its wide spectrum of application possibilities and unusual properties, the natural resources of ectoine have become insufficient. Various methods of its production on a larger scale have been developed scientifically, however they always involve microorganisms. There is no method to obtain ectoine in an absolutely synthetic way.

The mechanism of ectoine activity in the process of stabilizing cell membranes and strengthening skin’s protective barrier:

  • it has immunological and protective properties by increasing the stabilization of cell membrane against cellular stress,
  • it inhibits inflammatory processes induced by UV radiation at the level of cell membrane,
  • it protects Langerhans cells,
  • it diminishes TEWL (transepidermal water loss).

Numerous studies demonstrate a wide spectrum of ectoine properties if used locally, hence it has been successfully applied in the treatment of many dermatological problems in medicine and pharmacy.

Ectoine is one of the strongest natural moisturizer protecting the cells and skin immune system:

  • it significantly reduces itching,
  • it has anti-inflammatory properties,
  • it has high safety and tolerance profile thanks to which it may be used by children and people suffering from hypersensitivity reactions,

It contains necessary amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants; it inhibits melanogenesis (thanks to which the skin has even color without discolorations), protects against harmful environmental effects and shows a strong antioxidant activity diminishing the formation of free radicals.

The process of developing GFF:

  • Step 1 – yeast strains galactomyces
  • Step 2 – broth preparation 21°C, 24h
  • Step 3 – fermentation 2-3 days
  • Step 4 – homogenization
  • Step 5 – liquid separation – centrifuging
  • Step 6 – filtration – yeast removal
  • Step 7 - formation of Galactomyces ferment filtrate (GFF)

Fermentation is one of the latest methods of obtaining more effective active substances and extractors. It is a unique and indispensable process of biochemical transformations thanks to which it is possible to obtain new raw materials with specific properties. Active substances obtained by this method are better absorbed, act faster and more effectively. Due to fermentation, minerals, amino acids and vitamins are formed, which are the basis of health and proper functioning of our skin. An extremely important element is the selection of suitable substrates and microorganism by means of which a desirable compound of proper activity will be created.

Glycolic acid

It causes flaking of excess epidermis; has anti-wrinkle properties, evens the skin tone and enhances its density.

Glycolic acid thanks to its small particles penetrates deeply and improves the skin structure of the deepest layers. After long-term use of glycolic acid-based preparations, fibers are restored and skin elasticity is improved.

We observe:

  • restoration of elastic fibers and skin elasticity,
  • increased production of collagen fibers and mucopolysaccharides,
  • accelerated cell regeneration,
  • softening and smoothening of the skin, enhanced color and skin texture,
  • reduced wrinkles and shallow wounds, prevention of the skin aging,
  • brightening of pigmentation spots and discolorations,
  • skin cleansing,
  • regulation of keratosis disorders.

If you do not remove regularly excess dead skin cells, the horny layer thickens. Consequently, the effectiveness of some care preparations diminishes. It happens because active substances (e.g. hydrating substances, antioxidants) cannot effectively penetrate the skin. Glycolic acid used in cosmetics dissolves intercellular bonds called corneocytes resulting in delicate flaking of the horny layer. Hence, creams with glycolic acid are strongly recommended for people with dry, grey and sallow skin with photoaging signs.

  • the treatment of rosacea, minimizing the effect physiological skin imbalance and inflammations,
  • anti-wrinkle properties (smoothening and reduction of wrinkles) – it is possible that since it stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, it also accelerates cells regeneration,
  • reduces discolorations – it inhibits the effects of tyrosinase,
  • does not evoke post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation,
  • does not cause irritations or erythema.

The team led by professor Lademan also examined the concentration of lycopene in the skin of more than 100 women aged approximately 45. It turned out that the skin of the women with the highest concentration of this compound was much smoother and with fewer wrinkles when compared to the skin of women with low concentration of lycopene:

  • lycopene, is a strong antioxidant, absorbs free radicals, protects skin cells and collagen fibers against micro-damage, the result of which are fine lines and wrinkles outside,
  • rejuvenates the skin, stimulates collagen and elstine production as well as soothes skin aging symptoms.
  • stimulates proper diversity of epidermis layers,
  • enhances skin color,
  • extends life cycle of healthy skin cells.
